Making Wellness a Priority in Veterinary Education

The University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine is ensuring students will focus on their health and well-being, thanks to a private gift. The Mary Jane McMillen Crowe Student Success & Wellness Center is a resource-rich place where students can learn how to manage and maintain wellness.

Ranch Owners Support Equine Studies With Gift to UArizona

A gift from Richard and Diana Nash establishes the Lucia Nash – Circle Z Ranch Equine Education Program within the College of Veterinary Medicine in honor of Richard's mother. Through the program, the college's first class of future veterinarians is working with a herd of teaching horses in an updated facility from day one.

Equine Calling

The first class of veterinary medicine students at the University of Arizona care for a herd of 20 teaching horses in hands-on, safe-handling learning experiences. They create a relationship with the horses from day one — and some might even find their calling.
