Fostering Success: Supporting Vulnerable Students

The University of Arizona’s Fostering Success program serves students who confront homelessness or housing insecurity, have been in foster care, or lack the support of parents or guardians. The 2016 Campus Climate survey showed that 20% of undergraduates often or always experienced an unstable residence for financial reasons.

Ranch Owners Support Equine Studies With Gift to UArizona

A gift from Richard and Diana Nash establishes the Lucia Nash – Circle Z Ranch Equine Education Program within the College of Veterinary Medicine in honor of Richard's mother. Through the program, the college's first class of future veterinarians is working with a herd of teaching horses in an updated facility from day one.

Fry’s Food Stores Donation Fights Campus, Community Hunger and Waste

Fry’s Food Stores, a division of The Kroger Family of Companies, operates 122 stores in Arizona. A grant from the company supports the efforts of Compost Cats and the Rooftop Greenhouse atop the Student Union Memorial Center, which supplies fresh produce for the Campus Pantry. 

A New Way to Help Students

Alumni couple Mary and Michael Turner have long given to the university, their colleges and Arizona Athletics. When they heard about Campus Pantry, the Turners created an endowment for the program. They told us what inspires them to help students and why they're proud to be Wildcats for Life.

Patricia and Bruce Bartlett are the most generous donors to the University of Arizona’s Strategic Alternative Learning Techniques Center and longtime university supporters. Their giving illustrates the potential for private donors to partner with the university through the 360 Initiative.

Wildcat Community Helps Students in Need

In response to students' needs related to the pandemic, the University of Arizona Foundation, the Dean of Students Office and university leadership collaborated to start a crowdfunding campaign, called Fuel the Response, to raise money for the Student Emergency Fund.
