Fueling the Response

The Wildcat community has come together to Fuel the Response to the challenges of COVID-19. This means funding COVID-19 research and testing as well as supporting students and staff during this critical time.

Reengineering Design Day

Before anyone realized that 2020 would mark the first-ever virtual Design Day, it was clear the event would be special: It was the first year the day was celebrated as part of the college’s new Craig M. Berge Engineering Design Program.

Acting as Change Agents through Giving

Ed Wimberly ’65 and his wife Anne Wimberly have endowed a fund for African American Student Affairs. AASA provides opportunities for students to learn more about leadership, social justice and creating community. The Wimberlys also made a scholarship gift for students involved in leadership clubs for Black students.

Fostering Success: Supporting Vulnerable Students

The University of Arizona’s Fostering Success program serves students who confront homelessness or housing insecurity, have been in foster care, or lack the support of parents or guardians. The 2016 Campus Climate survey showed that 20% of undergraduates often or always experienced an unstable residence for financial reasons.

Ranch Owners Support Equine Studies With Gift to UArizona

A gift from Richard and Diana Nash establishes the Lucia Nash – Circle Z Ranch Equine Education Program within the College of Veterinary Medicine in honor of Richard's mother. Through the program, the college's first class of future veterinarians is working with a herd of teaching horses in an updated facility from day one.

Fry’s Food Stores Donation Fights Campus, Community Hunger and Waste

Fry’s Food Stores, a division of The Kroger Family of Companies, operates 122 stores in Arizona. A grant from the company supports the efforts of Compost Cats and the Rooftop Greenhouse atop the Student Union Memorial Center, which supplies fresh produce for the Campus Pantry.
