UArizona Colleges of Medicine Providing Free Tuition for Primary Care Medical Students

The University of Arizona Colleges of Medicine in Tucson and Phoenix are covering tuition for medical students who commit to practice primary care or another designated critical-access specialty in rural or urban underserved communities in Arizona.

A Hoops Great Gives Back

University of Arizona basketball fans may best know Bob Elliott ’77 ’84 as a star player who went on to play in the NBA and become a sportscaster for Arizona. Building Bridges for Native Students

“A Student’s Journey” won the Agnese Nelms Haury Program in Environment and Social Justice annual challenge grant competition and $600,000 in total funding. The program is intended to increase the number of transfer students from Tohono O’odham Community College and ensure their success.

Arizona Assurance: Making the College Dream a Reality

We brought Carlos Chavez and Cisco Aguilar together to talk about the Arizona Assurance Scholars Program and the University of Arizona. It was the first time they had met, and it was magical. Chavez made a connection with a new role model, and Aguilar was reminded why he volunteers for a nonprofit that expands access to education.
