Powering the 24/7 Learning Experience
It takes today to build tomorrow. The Student Success District will improve how students live, work, and study.
In 2019, the university begins construction to transform the Main Library, the Albert B. Weaver Science-Engineering Library, Bear Down Gym, and a new four-story student success building into an interconnected district that will empower generations of students
Scheduled for completion in 2021, this distinctive project brings together the UA’s commitment to academic excellence, student support, health and wellness and the preparation students need to become leaders in the modern workplace.
Reasons to Support
Game Changing Programs
New and expanded space will house transformative programs such as Student Engagement & Career Development, the Strategic Alternative Learning Techniques (SALT) Center, and THINK TANK where students build the skills that they will need throughout their academic, professional and personal lives.
Learning Together
The UA undergraduate curriculum is increasingly based on students working in teams with hands-on learning opportunities. The District is designed for collaborative learning, from the award-winning peer-to-peer tutoring program, to the inter-disciplinary learning communities of the CATalyst Studios at the Main Library. In this campus makerspace, special emphasis is placed on using different technologies as platforms for students to learn together.
Inspired by Student Input
Designed with students in mind. The District will encourage students to move seamlessly between spaces that provide a full range of services and expertise allowing them to reach their academic and career goals.
