Honors College

The Honors College attracts some of the most engaged, high-achieving and talented students in the country to the UA

At the Honors College, we offer our students challenging curricula, dedicated teachers and mentors, and undergraduate engagement in inquiry-based activities and creative works across all disciplines. Approximately 573 faculty from across the university teach honors courses for a diversity of majors and 14 dedicated faculty teach honors-specific courses. This powerful network gives students access to some of the best minds on campus through small seminars, research projects and engagement experiences.

With your support, we leverage existing UA strengths to provide amazing experiences that students will not find anywhere else. You help us give honors students the unique opportunity to work alongside award-winning faculty on specialized research projects. Our students also engage in service learning, civic engagement and study abroad. Your support makes these life-changing experiences possible and helps our graduates adapt in a world of fast-paced change.

“We’re doing a lot of hard work right now to reshape the college so that it’s the best academic experience for our students. We know what we need to do to be a top ranked Honors College, and we are doing it. Now is the best time to invest in this vision for our future.”

– Dean Terry Hunt

Our new residence hall, the Honors Village, is elevating the Honors College experience. The Honors Village is a welcoming space and the hub for our diverse community, working to meet its needs and nurture scholars’ interests and success. Private support will make this new space come to life with investments in programming and other resources.
