Twenty-one years ago, Mel and Enid Zucker-man made a visionary gift to benefit the public health of Southern Arizonans, a complement to their founding of wellness brand Canyon Ranch. Their investment in the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health has paid off in countless ways.

When the Franke family was invited on a hard-hat tour of the Honors Village during its construction in 2019, they were there to see the bricks and mortar of the Honors College, but they wound up connecting with the heart of the college — its students.

The Brown Foundations support the BIO5 Institute’s KEYS Research Internship for high-performing high school students interested in STEM. About 75% of KEYS alumni attend college in Arizona, with the majority choosing UArizona.

Ken Coit has committed $50 million through his family foundation to solidify UArizona's place as a leader in pharmaceutical education, research and innovation. The R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy now bears his name in recognition of his gift. 

The Seversons are committed to contributing to the community, especially higher education and global initiatives. Their gift will impact thousands of students, including the 400 students studying journalism, broadcasting, and podcasting, as well as students working for UATV-3 student television and elsewhere in student media. 

Each summer, the SFSW Program sends three to four University of Arizona Creative Writing MFA student Fellows to research and write on social justice and environmental challenges unique to the U.S.-Mexico border during a two-week residency in Patagonia, Ariz.

Peg Brand Weiser is a laureate professor and research professor in the Department of Philosophy. She has decided to fund the Peg Brand Weiser Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Philosophy of Sport to help advance the field and the career of a new Ph.D. 

The University of Arizona Honors College became the W.A. Franke Honors College in recognition of a $25 million gift commitment made by William A. "Bill" Franke, his wife, Carolyn, and the Franke family.

Jimenez will enter his senior year as the university's inaugural Charles Schwab Foundation endowed scholarship recipient. The $3.5 million scholarship program was established by the global financial services company in the spring to serve students from underrepresented communities.
