CAMPAIGN FAQs

The goal of the campaign is to harness the power of philanthropy and fuel the spirit of wonder that makes the university such a special place. Through our philanthropic efforts, we aim to launch exciting new projects, provide students with unprecedented levels of support, and amplify programs that make meaningful impact in our communities.

Fuel Wonder is the University of Arizona’s most ambitious fundraising campaign to date. The campaign aims to empower key priorities and initiatives outlined in the university’s strategic plan, and also calls upon the Wildcat community to make gifts that support diverse communities and projects all across the university and its colleges and units. Put simply, the campaign will push innovation forward and transform the university’s educational experience with the help of Wildcat philanthropy.

Fuel Wonder is a platform for storytelling, not a stand-alone tagline. It’s a theme intended to be broad and collaborative with the existing “Wonder” admission campaign so it can work for various needs, but it will have a shelf life of its own. It is an inspirational and motivational message designed to connect potential donors and supporters to the University.

Wonder starts with the spark of an idea, but it’s ignited when others help make it happen. By giving to a university that thrives on wonder, you light the fire in our students, faculty and staff to do even more, to dream and create today and well into tomorrow, to imagine bigger, and in turn, fuel a better future for the world. Together we can help those who will go on to accomplish the extraordinary.

How will you fuel wonder?

The campaign’s biggest priorities include increasing student scholarship support across the University, endowing faculty chairs, investing in the arts on campus, providing opportunities for our Wildcat student-athletes, and changing the healthcare landscape through CAMI. In 2016 a fundraising analysis revealed we have the potential to double fundraising among our constituent bases. Working with the University, the Foundation reorganized and restructured into Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement (PAE) to align all of our activities toward building constituent affinity with the University. The PAE’s goal is to attract philanthropic support to benefit the University.
