The BIO5 Institute harnesses the collaborative and multi-disciplinary power of agriculture, engineering, medicine, pharmacy, and science to discover novel solutions to health and environmental challenges affecting humanity.
At the BIO5 Institute, hundreds of researchers from more than 20 colleges and departments across the University of Arizona work together to advance scientific discovery. Our BIO5 members are the top scientific minds of the world and our BIO5 facilities support their work with top-notch facilities, state-of-the-art equipment, and unmatched opportunities to collaborate. Our researchers create bold solutions, working together, to address the complex biological challenges of our region and world.
Our areas of research, which vary from finding cure for cancer, asthma, Alzheimer’s disease to developing technology for health, offer opportunities for us to expand and excel. Now more than ever, we rely on philanthropic giving to make our boldest research possible. Your investment will help us enhance the infrastructure that allows researchers to connect with each other, use constantly evolving technologies, and explore hard-fought solutions together, as well as to mentor the next generation of scientists through both hands-on experiences and tours.
“Through my own research and my position as BIO5 Director, I know the absolute necessity of an interdisciplinary approach in solving important health challenges. BIO5 is renowned for this, and philanthropic support helps us continue pursuit of boundless discoveries.”
